- Blu Ray
Blu-ray Disc is an optical disc storage medium designed to supersede the standard DVD format. Its main uses are for storing PlayStation 3 games, high-definition video, and data storage, with up to 50 or more GB per disc. The disc has the same physical dimensions as standard DVDs and CDs.
The name Blu-ray Disc derives from the blue-violet laser used to read the disc. While a standard DVD uses a 650 nanometre red laser, Blu-ray uses a shorter wavelength, a 405 nm blue-violet laser, and allows for almost six times more data storage than on a DVD.
During the format war over high-definition optical discs, Blu-ray competed with the HD DVD format.Synonyms: Blu-ray, BD

Bluetooth is a standard and a communications protocol primarily designed for low power consumption, with a short range (power class dependent: 1 meter, 10 meters, 100 meters) based on low-cost transceiver microchips in each device.
Bluetooth makes it possible for these devices to communicate with each other when they are in range. Because the devices use a radio (broadcast) communications system, they do not have to be in line of sight of each other.Synonyms: BT, Bluetooth
