What is the Difference between RTGS and EFT or NEFT ?
EFT, electronic funds transfer OR NEFT, National electronic funds transfer is NOT a Gross settlement system. It means it settles transactions in batches. While in RTGS transaction is settled on gross basis.
RTGS is Faster than EFT or NEFT. RTGS should be preferred to NEFT. At the same time RTGS needs the transaction should be a minimum of Rs.1 lac. NEFT could be any value.
